Supplies: Size G Crochet Hook Worsted Weight Yarn—scraps, 2 colors—Main Color (MC) and Contrasting Color (CC). All sc are crocheted in the back loop (BL). Note: If stuffed animal is larger than 6 inches, chain more to begin sweater. Chain 15 in MC. Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in each ch. (14 sc). Ch 1, turn. FRONT Rows 2-9: Sc BL of each sc to end of the row. Ch 1, Turn. Note: Lay piece on front of stuffed animal. If the toy is larger, crochet more rows. If not, you're ready to work the side of the sweater. SIDE Rows 10-11: Sc in BL in the first 6 sc. Sk the rest of the stitches in the row. Ch 1, turn. Row 12: Sc in BL in next 6 sc. Chain 12. Going around the top of the arm toward the front of the toy, attach with sl st to top of row 10. (This makes the armhole.) Row 13: Ch 1, sc BL, back across arm in each stitch. (19 sc—5 sc across top of arm, 14 for first row for back of sweater. Rows 14-23: Sc BL of each sc to end of the row. Ch 1, turn.
